I saw David Beckam getting welcomed to the LA Galaxies the other day and when the mayor stepped up he was treated like hitler. It was pretty rough. I know he was unfaithful to his wife but that cant be the only reason.

There is a big backlash for dashing people's hopes. Villaraigosa is a bright and successful Latino mayor, and he makes a really poor choice to ditch his wife for someone younger. That is the tough thing for the voters and the politicians; we expect more from them than the public service.
Also, the timing has turned the city government into a total circus. Googe "Rocky Delgadillo", LA's handsome, intelligent, educated city attorney who is looking like a petty crook. Worse, the national media stories don't put his name in the headline, because he's "Paris Hilton's prosecutor". Ouch, that's gotta hurt!

You say him cheating on his wife can't be the only reason, that is something a guy would say. You men just don't understand what it does to us when our husbands cheat on use specially with someone younger.It takes away everything you once held dear to your heart. Your so devastated and walking around in a dream like state nothing feels real or right to you.We feel we have nothing to hold onto.We just been stabbed in our back by our best friend and lover.If you have never been cheated on then you have no idea what I'm talking about .I don't know your mayor I'm ashamed to say but remember you have a lot of angry ex's living there and any person who has been cheated on hates cheaters and the person they cheated with. In my opinion cheating is enough to get a big BOO from the crowd.

We are in the middle of a time, which I think tabloid TV and the internet has created, where we want to see people fall from grace publicly and be the butt of as much suffering as possible, publicly.
It's scary -- the citizenry is turning bloodthirsty as in Roman times.

he's done a decent job so far as the mayor of LA..not great, but decent. unfortunately what I think made him less of a popular is the issues of illegal immigration.

he sat there and told everyone that family was all important and acted like a self righteous *** and then all the affair stuff came out. he was also stealing from the city to romance his ho.

I don't know I was laughing at that myself when I watched that on the news. But if it was because of that it's his business has nothing to do with government.
