I'm just curious and would like to read the reasons. Also, do you plan to homeschool?

There are many reasons that I choose not to vaccinate my children.

A person would not normally contract 5 diseases at one time naturally, yet at 2, 4 and 6 mth. visits a baby is injected with five vaccines.

There is no proof that vaccines are responsible for the decline in certain diseases - improved sanitation, medical care and less crowding may also have contributed to the decline in certain diseases. Most diseases decreased by over 95% BEFORE the introduction of vaccines.

By vaccinating children, many cases of certain diseases (ex. measles, chicken pox) have now shifted to the adult population where the disease is often more serious and debilitating.

Vaccines have not been tested for any possible carcinogenic (cancer causing), teratogenic (gene altering) effects or their effects on the reproductive system (it says this right in the product inserts from the manufacturers).

Vaccines are not 100% effective so the child can still get the disease even if they are vaccinated and a child can actually get a disease sometimes from the vaccine if it is a live vaccine.

After researching many of the diseases(like measles, mumps and polio), I found they are not as scary as the media hyped them to be, especially for a healthy immune system. Example: Polio is 90% asymptomatic.

The same amount of vaccine that is given to a 4 yr. old is given to an 18 mth. old and a 2 mth. old, etc.

I beleive the chance of dying or getting a serious side effect from the actual disease is much less than the chance of dying or getting an adverse reaction from the vaccine. The dieseases are not dangerous or deadly in most people.

I believe that injecting my children with things such as formaldehyde, mercury (trace amounts), aluminium, paint thinner, coolant, anti-freeze, detergent phenols, MSG, plus dead animal tissue, aborted fetus tissue, mutated human and animal viruses, bacteria, antibiotics and animal, bacterial and viral DNA, is not particularly a good idea.

And I do plan on sending my children to public school. There are exemptions for vaccines. All I have to do is sign that vaccines are against my philosophical beliefs, and they are exempt from vaccine requirements.

people who don't vaccinate believe that the risks of vaccinating far outweigh the benefits of vaccinating. I do vaccinate my children and while i did not homeschool my oldest girls I will be homeschooling my son. Socialization is not an issue as their are many homeschooling groups out there and you are able to combine "classes" with the other children, so to speak, at least in my area. Also in my state homeschooled kids are allowed to join PE and sports activities after school just like any public school student.

properly in the beginning for religious motives because of the fact many mum and dad have faith (or understand) that the vaccines might reason autism. because of the fact the vaccines contain mercury, formaldehyde, aborted fetal cells, and kidney tissue. because of the fact many of the vaccines have not been examined, yet have been 'speedy-tracked' by the CDC, so the long term outcomes are unknown. because of the fact many vaccines in basic terms cover one million or 2 lines of a illness, and there could be 3 hundred lines obtainable. because of the extreme detrimental reactions to the vaccines. maximum situations, the reactions could be even worse than the illness your being vaccinated for. because of the fact newborn's immune structures can not manage being injected with maximum of pollutants. i'm hoping this helps!! -Anna

I read an article on vaccines.I forget the Doctors name now, but he was saying there were 2 villages (he was working in one of them). There was a vaccine shortage (I think for something deadly)One village got their in time, the other didn't until after the epidemic. The population was the same in both villages give or take a few, but about the same number of of people died in each village after all the ones in the one village had been vaccinated.I have also seen law suits in the last 20 yrs for people who suffered side affects from vaccines.

just look at the percentage of people that die or have serious reactions like retardation to the actual vaccines versus the risks of death or serious long term reactions to the actual diseases themselves. http://www.vaclib.org/legal/refuseltprn.htm
and yes I plan to home school. Why subject your children to forced Ritalin, child molestors, gangs, racism against whites by school curriculim, etc.
Socializing the child is as simple as finding other home schooled children such as at sites like www.meetup.com or enrolling the child in Martial Arts, sports etc.
treatment for most of these diseases is much more advanced in 2007 than it was in 1960's,but most of these vaccinations do not even offer lasting protection. The flue vaccine alone put my wifes sister and grandfather into coma's and well I can make informed decisions instead of going along with herd mentality

there are many myths about the dangers of vaccines, and some people will believe anything. Vaccines were created to save children from early deaths, plain and simple. I have never heard a good arguement to not vacciante

Any link between vaccines and autism has been disproven. Read medical journals, not someone's re-hashing of a study on their blog.

People choose not to vaccinate because of supposed dangers. And they also believe that diseases such as polio, which has been almost eliminated in the US, is "extinct" so why vaccinate against it. Unfortunately that type of thinking is bringing a resurgent of diseases that were almost eliminated from the planet.

And no I don't homeschool. Socialization is too important to development.

i think that the olden ways are the way of life and that some of this crap in unnecessary for our children and i would love to homeschool, but with todays ways its almost impossible financially and it does limit your child socail skills if they dont have play dates, but i plan on not even going to a hospital but to a birthing unit with a midwife if given the opportunity, life doens thave to be so complicated, just love your children and take care of them
