Tomatoe plant problem?

I grow my tomatoes in a pot. I keep them watered, and fertalized. But they will not turn red. It has been months. we have So many on the plants, and yet they will not turn. I took one off today and put it in a paper bag to see if i can get it to ripen. Does anyone know what is happening.

I have great sunlight.

I don't know where you are or when you planted these tomatoes but I wouldn't worry about them. They WILL ripen when they are ready. I wouldn't stop watering entirely. Those plants still need water. Most tomatoes take between 85 and 95 days from planting to harves. Give them time.

Maybe not enough sunlight on the fruit. In cloudy climates you may have to remove some leaves to allow sunlight in to the plant. People in desert areas have just the opposite problem, sun burn on the fruit.

Also you plant may be trying to ripen too many fruits and can't quite get the carbohydrates necessary for the ripening hormones to develop. Maybe a fried green tomato dinner where some of the fruit is picked will help.

not sure. I consistently planted my vast woman tomatoes interior the floor w/ a great number of solar and that they did super. according to hazard the pot is in basic terms too small? domesticate the dirt for air? Use the terrific fertilizer and don't over do it. Take off the lifeless leaves. plenty OFF solar!!!

Are you sure tehy're not green tomatoes? There are heirlooms that are...

Otherwise, just take it easy. Some varieties take longer to ripen. And do not give them any more nitrogen

stop watering you need to stop watering, so the plant will feel threatend and want to procreate.

sounds silly but true, stop watering same thing with corn stalks thats why you always see dry feilds with ears of corn
