I was traveling with my beautiful wife to see an uncle who live in Boston.We've made 4 hour of driving and it was her turn to drive so I can sleep.When got wake-up, suddently, by her voice calling my name, we were lost in a neighbour state.
It took me 20 minute to find the right path to get to the main road.I never get lost, even when I drive in europe.

It varies a lot from person to person.Most men are good directionally, while most women look for reference points like nice houses or colorful signs. i wouldn't say one is better than the other, and of course, the reverse is also true. It's just a general assumption. I know I need all the help I can get, so I use any technique that works.

Probably because she wasn't taught how to understand geography and topography. Some people just really do not understand direction. I'm 22 years old and I still have friends that have to put their hands out in front of them, form their fingers like shooting a finger gun, and see which one looks like an "L" to tell which way is left and which way is right.
It's odd to me... I never get lost, either.

A common misconception because until recently, men didn't let women drive. Thus at that time men would criticize women for poor skills at something they weren't allowed to practice.

im a women and i can find my way around pretty well i know directions better than most of my guy friends!
