Closed and rusted shut like a steel trap. Seriously though, you have to have an open mind. If you are too predisposed to a particular mindset you will never attain proper answers or solutions to any of life's mysteries. We should all strive to listen, even when we may not agree. Not only is it the polite thing to do, but you may be surprised by what you might learn as a result.

The older I get the more closed minded I get... Since I am about a 1/3 through my life. My mind is 1/3 closed and 2/3 open.

Hi Siempre. My mind was always opened when I was much younger, but as I have become older, my mind has become much more closed. It is because it's a protection for me against the bigotries and hatemongerers in the world.

There are so many hypocrites who say one thing and then almost immediately go and backtrack on that like LANA who posted the "aren't you glad you're not a racist" question. Her question just before that was degrading of white Australian men and Black women and how weird this was (this and that). It is ones like her and many other overt hatemongerers that I have closed my mind on so many because it is a protector for me; so I don't get easily fooled and can heed danger and traps.

I am opened, but there is a large part of me that will forever remained closed. I hope Jehovah sees worth in me at Armageddon for he knows I am not perfect and I don't hate the people, just their conduct and poor racist thinking.

I don't believe God wants me to be a fool and except anything that is out in the world, or to feed my spirit trash.

I'm going to be honest, my mind is open towards good things in life that are positive..such as learning about different cultures, and people..accepting people for who they are. Learning new trades, and a different perspective on how people are effected by certain issues in life. Anything that can make me a better woman and to help people I'm for that.

Now when it comes to learning different religions that are based upon cults, and witchcraft...my mind is closed towards all atheist theories, and most definitely towards Mormons serving Joseph Smith as a prophet over Jesus. My mind is closed over any religion that would try to place another over Jesus...no matter what reasoning they may try to give, I'm not even trying to hear it.

both. i believe no one can truly be one or the other. it is the balance that we need. if you look up at the sky and see it as being blue and you are standing next to someone that says it looks gray, but you know it is blue. wouldn't you continue to think it is blue. at that point your mind is so sure it is blue. so your mind is closed. then you find out that the person is color blind. then your mind is open. we all have our opinions on if we are open minded or closed. i think it is completely situational based. because no one is completely one way or the other.

At my age , you become very " Open Minded " and also " Broad-minded."! We Look at the World thru Different eyes, and Long to tell You that Life is a Journey, that You Can Enjoy Or Regret.
