Im not so sure about the future in iraq, but here it will have probally made it worse look at us now. It is most likely going to get worse than it already is people have lost their respect for our once great country.

Both worse.

Iraqi living conditions are appalling. For most Iraqis, life is now a struggle to just survive. Insurgents are everywhere. What the Pentagon doesn't want you to know is that most civilians who encounter US soldiers are likely to be harmed, not helped by them. Blackouts are now widespread, with utilities gone. Hundreds of thousands have probably died (not tens of thousands, as Bush would have you believe). I seriously doubt whether Iraqis will ever become one unified people again anytime soon.

America, well, it's creditability and legitimacy have taken a VERY serious blow. Bush, by waging this war in Iraq, has undermined NATO, international law, and fueled anti-Americanism around the world. The US hasn't even got any oil that it waged the war for - Iraq is a net importer of oil despite being nation with the second largest reserve in the Middle East! (The infrastructure was damaged, although the oil fields have been given top priority be the US - lol.) The US has gained nothing from this war in Iraq.

And what next steps for the US? Cut and run makes the US look like a coward, while staying will only mean more death and destruction, which the US must take blame for, as it has inherited the responsibility for maintaining order in Iraq.

First, it's not Bush's Iraq invasion, Congress agreed with the president, overwhelmingly soldiers agreed, and so did most civilians. You cannot now conveniently disown the war because its uglier than you thought.

Now to answer your question, it depends on what you mean by better.
Will the Iraqi people be free of tyrant and his sadistic sons? - Yes
Will the Iraqi people have access to better schools, hospitals, and infrastructure built or supplied by our troops? - Yes
Will the Iraqi people get a cut of the oil profits as the US has asked? - Yes
Will Iraq be a strong ally of the US against Al Qaeda and Iran? - Maybe, if we continue to help them.
Will the US have eliminated one of three major regimes who are our mortal enemies? - Definitely
Does this mean that we can apply more pressure on our enemies in the future and compel them to respect international law and avoid war? - Probably
Will the Iraqi people learn to adopt a sense of civic duty and build a great democracy amid all of the turmoil in the Middle East? - Doubtful, but there is a chance now.

So, I'd have to say better.

ch_ris_l - Do you often just make up facts in order to justify your unfounded hatred of America?

Iraq is incredibly worse. no longer in basic terms have we intrenched our squaddies in a conflict that isn't be able to be won, yet we've given terrorist communities yet yet another recruiting gadget by using coming up such rather some homeless, jobless youthful adult adult males with out one to blame yet u . s .. Its a ask your self ANY of the Iraq's incredibly nonetheless help us, and its extremely a testomony to how plenty extra suitable this conflict would have long gone had there been any genuine purpose to safeguard a democratic government and lay foundation for a sparkling, rich u . s . a .. That line of questioning of course skill which you will desire to swallow the jagged edged lie that Saddam had wmd's, or ties to al-Qaeda, or that u . s . had any activity in the area different than oil. Thank God a minimum of a few of u . s . has boost into proof against the conflict drums, in any different case we'd already be in Iran. As Ron Paul says, "It replaced right into a mistake to bypass in, its a mistake to stay." i've got seen various comments on Yahoo solutions wherein persons deny the certainty that u . s . created this irrational militant fundamentalism by using interfering in a u . s . a . with regulations showing outright lack of information, and each from time to time even outright imperialism. there replaced into no such factor as center-jap terrorism till we overthrew Mossadeq. How can everyone actually believe that we can overthrow a democratically elected chief, and then trounce around on holy land with militia troops, sticking our nostril in each and each considerable conflict claiming its in our "national protection activity" to accomplish that for 40 some unusual years, and not anticipate blow back? What, do you anticipate them to easily roll over and take it like a good little third international area would desire to? "Thats suitable, provide me your oil and blood or i will slap you back!" Thats ridiculous, and extra suitable than that, its in basic terms undeniable incorrect.

Perhaps worse for America.

Better, because it will decrease their population and not make so many people resort to scavenging and stealing to feed their families.
So the lives of the people scavenging, and stealing will be far better, because there won't be as much competition.

If we cut and run, it will be determined by how well they can hold it together against the terrorists. So far, it doesn't look good.
