A few clues as to your age, sex, background etc. would elicit better answers.
However in retirement I am finding the following keeps me "out of mischief"!
1. Voluntary work for Citizens Advice and our local hospice
2. Giving, hopefully, useful advice on Yahoo Answers.
3. Collecting stamp sand completing crosswords (I have had 14 prizes so far including a £75 fine bottle of malt whiskey from the Times)
4. Playing on the quiz (NOT fruit) machine in my local whilst enjoying dry cider - also exchanging views with other regulars. (The air is so much better no that the smokers are outside!
5. Acting as executor for the estates of deceased friends and relations (Difficult to predict the demand!)
6. Listening to Radio 4 most mornings from 7 to 8.

Try not to allow yourself to get bored. You only have one life (or so I believe) but the realisation that one is not immortal often comes later in life. Good luck!

Yep. You should take an evening course in cooking where you will meet people of the apposite sex and have fun. You'll need to get to bed at the same time each night, buy a bike and do a few miles a day. Take Cod Liver oil tablets daily and make a list each day of all the things you've ac hived today and all the things you need to do tomorrow. Try something new each week, parachuting even flying lessons, see how much better you feel.

Join the Peace Corps. Go to college. Volunteer. Be a Big Brother. Call your Mom and tell her you love her. Take a walk. Lie on the grass and imagine the clouds are anything but clouds. Roll down a hill. Ride a bike or go roller skating. Read a book. Write a book. Paint a picture of an elephant in a box. Talk to someone you would normally ignore. Stand up for something you believe in. Get involved. Join the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, National Guard or the Coast Guard. Get up, go out and do something so that later you can say proudly to whomever, "I did that".

Do voluntary work in a hospice if that's possible these days, you will soon see you have nothing to be bored about.
