You can combine any terms with the same letter (and if those letters are to the same power). So, there are two terms with w. 5w-9w (The sign in front of it stays with it.) 5w-9w=-4w
There are no other terms with x, so you are left with -4w+5x

each time you spot some thing in brackets, you multiply it out. Do one by one: 4x(2x-a million) + 5x(3x+a million) would be = 8xx - 4x + 5x(3x+a million) = 8x^2 - 4x + 15xx + 5x (^ means exponential) =8x^2 - 4x + 15x^2 + 5x (now group like words collectively) =8x^2 + 15x^2 - 4x + 5x = 23x^2 + x (which is additionally reduced in size all the way down to) = x(23x + a million) wish this occasion is sparkling adequate which you may maintain on with..stable success

miggitymaggz answer of C is right, but his "5x - (9w + 5w) = 5x - 4w" is not. It should be 5w-9w+5x or 5x+(-9w)+5w. This will get you answer C.
5x - (9w + 5w) actually equals 5x-14w, which is wrong.
