Medical Marijuana users have it for medical purposes. Are you suggesting that a lawyer cant have a legitimate medical condition? If the lawyer is doing his or her job, it isnt important. Unless you are an obsessed lawyer hater who wants to find everything wrong with lawyers.

As far as the state is concerned, sure. If the attorney is following the state laws, then the state is not going to punish them for it.

However, federal laws still make marijuana use illegal. So, if the attorney actually used marijuana (as opposed to just being allowed by the state to do so), then they could be prosecuted by federal authorities for violating federal laws.

If convicted of violating federal drug laws, the state bar may (or may not) decide to take disciplinary action. Because of the ongoing conflicts between state and federal officials over this issue, it's unclear whether the state would consider the federal violation (for something specifically allowed by state law) to be worthy of professional sanctions or punishment.
