why is there sop much hype about the red soxs im mean come on they have never been good in the second half of the season. A-rod is the ML leader in HR's ,and RBI's,and who cares if giambi is not not in the lineup we have better players than him.

the red sox havent been a second half team only manny and big papi. Also the yankees have been in the playoffs for 12 straight years! what makes you think that they wont be in there this year?

Yankee fans need to start backing up their confidence and faith with huge, potentially ruinous wagers. They ARE going to win, right? So you cannot lose; capitalize on your insider fan knowledge.

Call up the book at Caesar's, wager a million or two on the Yankees to win a postseason berth (or be REALLY bold -- win the World Series!), scan the ticket, blur out the important stuff, and post a jpeg to prove how much you're willing to stand behind your guys.

The ol' "put up or shut up".

Nothing.

The Yankees have too much of a good lineup to be out of the playoffs.

Everyone on their lineup is an all star.

If the Yankees bullpen and pitching starts being consistant the Yankees will surly be in the playoffs.

Oh, and Red Sox fans, stop saying we ''Choke'' in the playoffs you ''choked'' for 86 years!

Considering Bernie Williams' #fifty one wasn't given to Randy Johnson and Paul O'Neill's #21 was once given to LaTroy Hawkins possibilities are #fifty one shall be retired however #21 may not be retired. From the championship years the Yankees must retire the next numbers. #two Derek Jeter #6 Joe Torre #fifty one Bernie Williams

they haven't been "the yankees" for years. I'm a huge yankee fan as well but, this team has proved in each of the last three years that the heart isn't there any more. I hope I'm wrong but we may have to prey for the wild card.
