That is funny. They're terrified of the NAACP. It is not safe for even Obama to do that. Biden's hardest week was when he tried to complement Obama. Any utterance about blacks can ruin anyone who is in the public eye. Joseph McCarthy never had such power.

Maybe on the Republican ticket.
"No racism anymore" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I was passed over for promotion three times buy a racist so I beg to differ. I have the most diversified Aerospace Technology background in the entire industry so being qualified definitely was NOT the issue. The higher one goes, the more blatant the "glass" ceiling.
Also, white American women have been the greatest benefactor of affirmative action which is fine by me. They have shot up the corporate ladder in droves due to their not being discriminated against as much as they once were. Until AA, women were treated like they had no talent nor ambitions. Yet neo-cons speak as though no one has benefited by forcing racist companies to open their doors to ALL Americans versus a select few.

Of course no one will promise to end it.
For one thing the Executive Branch has no power to end it. Only the courts and legislatures.
And even if they did, they are trying to get the votes of independents and undecideds in the "middle." Those people tend to be confused and ambivalent about the issue, if they think about it at all. Forthrightness would shock them and frighten them away.
But if someone promises to nominate judges like Thomas and Roberts and Alito....Those are the ones to vote for.

Well Libertarians are against affirmative action because it is unconstitutional and racist so Ron Paul I would assume is against it.

What exactly is your problem with affirmative action?
If racism didn't exist anymore, you wouldn't be so concerned about affirmative action.
heck, at least the people who benefit from it are Americans. You better be more concerned with all Americans being added to the list of people it supposedly benefits, so in the future there will be at least one American working for each company, rather than a bunch of H1B visa holders.
and just to give you a clue, affirmative action does not protect people from lack of proper work habits. That is the incompetency of the company for not really understanding its purpose.

I'll vote against them then. We still need affirmative action.

Let's see, it is by and not buy. Oh you are so modest, the leader in the entire industry. No wonder you play the race card.
