The people are not in the business of employing a government that creates laws that make no sense. The government is made aware of this fact by all the write-ups and verbal warnings that it has received. One day soon, this subordinate employed government will have used up all of the breaks we have given it. And the people who are the boss of the government will hand over to it its pink slip and terminate the government.

"I have a right to nothing which another has a right to take away." n1

"It is to secure our rights that we resort to government at all." n2

“No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another, and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him.” n3

The only thing I can think of anywhere near where you're going with this is when I worked back at the factory and I was required to wear occupational protective glasses or Cal-OSHA approved safety goggles. Also I have to wear similar glasses or other shielding when riding my motorcycle. What else will they think up next...

Ha! I just thought of another reason. Back when I was working as a security guard, I would be constantly switched back and forth between the graveyard and day shifts. This was an exhausting task and don't think that during a 12 hour day it didn't cross my mind to lean back against that post and slip on some dark tinted sunglasses. Hehe, I'm close aren't I, am I right?

P.S. If the government is subordinate to the people and criminals are subordinate to the government, then all that is required for the government's power to become absolute is for it to create laws making all people criminals.

I find that the whole concept of there being a law to allow one to wear sunglasses if one chooses shocking.

I wear them because the sun makes my eyes tear up sometimes. When I stare at eye candy I want a clear unadulterated view so I usually only wear them in the sun. Plus if my partner notices he'll just have to deal with it too bad if he's insecure, I'm only looking not asking for their number or anything. I'm married... not dead

Why would it take a law?
If not enforced, could you sue when you go blind?
