It sounds like the smoke monster from Lost and Abrams did create the show.

Its not The Day the Earth Stood Still. There was nothing attacking in that movie, the aliens came to tell us that we were destroying ourselves and needed to stop.

I think it's something like Gamera or Gidrah -- a fire-breathing monster.

I am holding out hope that its an adaptaion of H.P. Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulhu" or "the Dunwich Horror"
Lovecraft pioneered horror fiction and has not been done proper justice by our movie makers.
The monster(s) in Lovecraft's stories were ancient Gods/creatures from "outside" our Universe, were physically giagantic and not subject to our natural laws.
Sounds like a decent fit to me...

i think its 3 things either godzila or pasite or the day the earth stood still cause there remakeing it maybe its one of those i m not sure but well all find out soon ... maybe lost we will find out im saying there doing alot of remakes so we will find out soon ..
