HA! No one has heard of Watermelon rind pickles!
You can google and get plenty of recipes...They tend to be sweet and syrupy and flavored with cinnamon and cloves.
Yummy actually.
People in olden days pickled all kinds of thing to preserve them so they could have fruit and vegetables all year long.

They look just as I remember my friend's aunt's. I made them once. Quite a bit of work but they turned out great.

Kosher Dill Spears- Claussen's my brand!
Takuan (Japanese sweet pickled radishes)- I like the Aloha brand
I occasionally eat pickled beets, and sweet pickled onions.
I have never had watermelon rind pickles. But I hear they're very good. One day, I'll probably try them. I recently tried pickled carrots and cauliflower. Those are very good!
I have a recipe for garlic dill pickles. But I haven't tried to make that or any other pickle yet.

I love Vlasic baby dills...The best! I enjoy them every time I eat them. I do not pickle pickles myself. I don't like any other pickled foods. I've never heard of watermelon rind pickles.

well it would have to b dill because when i was pregnant with my 1st child, i had a craving for pickles and i sat there and ate a whole jar and then preceded to puke it all up a 1/2 hour later. That was really nasty, but i still love dill pickles.

Bread and Butter pickles are the only kind I'll eat and I make my own. Mmmm! They're great with spaghetti.

I love dill pickles. I don't care what brand I just love pickles. I don't make them myself but my mom does sometimes. I don't eat any other pickled foods and nope.
