The main thing to remeber is they are very picky on who they will adopt to. There are age restrictions, environment restrictions, pet experience is determined, etc. Also... to be honest, getting a pet for free is great but there are so many costs to owning a pet as a responsible owner... so technically, and like my parents you to say... there is no such thing as free puppies or kittens...LOL.

Anticruelty society on LaSalle has the cutest kittens and fantastic dogs. We adpted a Golden Retreiver few years ago. They also have a vet right at the site if anything were to happen.
