Acetametaphin is fine to take during pregnancy. The regular strength should be fine.

I would take to your doctor before taking the extra strength though.

Yes. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is generally the only over the counter pain medication you can take while pregnant without first consulting your doctor. Follow the directions listed on the bottle and if your discomfort doesn't subside, talk to your obstetrician about alternative pain relievers or a possible cause of your continued pain.

My docs told me to only take either one regular tylenol tablet or half of an extra strength tablet.

Tylenol is the only discomfort med it is okay to take for the duration of being pregnant. regardless of you do, do no longer take ibuprofen, which isn't goo for being pregnant. I took tylenol extra potential for the duration of my being pregnant when I had a headache.

yup. its just a slightly higher dose.. not a big deal. always try the lowest dose possible, like just taking one, but if it doesn't work, taking the full dosage is okay.

trust me... i've seen people take much worse and the baby turned out healthy... (i worked at a drug rehab)

its good to know you are so concerned about the health of your unborn child.

on that note... make sure everything you put into your body... including food and drink.. is all healthy..... try to avoid those empty calories (of course.. indulging in a monster craving every once in a while is okay! =o) )

My doc told me to only take regular tylenol

just regular tylenol and start with small doses. Start with a half or ONE whole pill and do not take anymore until after you wait to see if they kick in

no this has nothing to do with the fact that you are pregnant it is the way everyone is supposed to take pain killers and the like. start with the smallest dose ..if it is effective then you dont take any more.
