Pujols, despite his minor slump this year, has been the most consitent and the best hitter of the five players mentioned. The other four players are good hitters and have been pretty good players over the past few years. Pujols on the other hand is on a whole different level than the others mentioned. Pujols has been on a tear for his first seven years and is only 27-28 years old. The guy has alot of swing still left in his bat. Pujols can hit for average and power, which can't be said for the other four players. Look for Pujols to keep this tear until he's in his mid/late thirties. By then, I believe, Pujols will be closing in on 3500 hits, 600 homeruns and who knows how many RBI's.

On this list, Pujols is the best offensive talent.

FYI: Lots of homeruns does not make someone a great offensive player. On-base percentage, RBI's, and two-out hits are much more important. I would rather have a player who hits ten homeruns a season but drives in 100 runs than have a player that hits fifty homeruns but drives in only sixty runs.

Albert Pujols.

Pujols...by a landslide. He's won MVP, he's always hit for a great average, and became the first player to hit 30+ home runs in his first 6 seasons as a major leaguer. He's about to make it 7 if he stays healthy. Pujols is one of the best pure hitters in baseball today. His swing is picture perfect!

Without question Albert Pujols.

Albert has had 30+ home run seasons for many seasons now.

Lets see,

Albert is batting .310

J.J. Hardy is batting .273

Paul Konerko is batting .274

Alex Rios is batting .302

Jimmy Rollins is batting .294

As soon as Albert gets his swing going he is going to be by far better then all of these players.

Is this a trick question? Pujols, easily.

Pujols
Konerko
Rollins
Rios
Hardy, in that order.

BTW, homeruns don't define offensive greatness. RBI's and hits in the clutch do.
