Okay, so me and a couple of my friends are planning to go to Knott's Soak City ^^. Is it a bad idea to wear contact lenses? I think you're not allowed to swim with them but if water gets into them is that bad too?

It should be fine to wear your contact lenses in the pool. If the water gets into them it's not a big deal. The chlorine might sting a little, but not more than when you don't wear your contacts. There is a possibility that you could loose your contacts in the pool (I've never lost mine yet), and I do suggest that if you plan on going in a pool and going underwater and opening your eyes that you wear goggles, but with slides you should be fine.

I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I would make sure to rinse them very well after getting out as they can absorb the chlorinated water, which may not be good for your eyes. This really depends on what kind of contacts you have as well.

I used to competitively swim while wearing mine. The worst thing that happened occurred when I lost my goggles on a start and had a contact roll under my eyelid. Since you will not be doing any starts, this is pretty unlikely. I would avoid diving head first or riding down waterslides head first.

If you have any concerns, talk to your eye doctor and ask them what they think.

I put on touch lenses for the duration of the day and glasses the very first thing within the morning and at night time.My eye health practitioner instructed me that dressed in glasses, even slightly bit,is well for the eyes due to the fact that they get endeavor.

I swim in mine, I have never had any problems. How can you swim in glasses, I cannot see without my contacts.
