Shelden DeMar Williams (born October 21, 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is an American professional basketball player for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. Williams, a former Duke University star, was selected by the Hawks with the fifth pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. His jersey number, 23, was retired by Duke University on January 28, 2007.
He notes his favorite athletes as Shaquille O'Neal and Kevin Garnett. He is currently engaged to University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball star, Candace Parker.
