My biggest need is SP. His is power. It's a keeper league and each team gets 5 keepers. It's a 6X6 league with OPS and CG as the extra cats.

So is this a good trade?

I get: Peavy and Granderson
He gets: Morneau and Penny

I think Penny falters in the second half like he has the last 3 years. What I can't decide is whether or not Granderson's performance is for real. THoughts?

Make the deal. You are correct to fear another 2nd half falloff for penny (until he can prove otherwise history suggests this is habit...not bad luck). Peavy is a stud that is reliable in every circumstance and pitches in a pitcher friendly park with great defense behind him. So the question is...Is Granderson for real? In only his second season with constant improvement I say yes! Leyland praises him as one of the hardest workers he has ever coached (mighty fine praise) and if you watch him he is clearly a player wth 5 tool potential....Morneau will no doubt still be more productive overall but Granderson will hit for power (25 Hr potential) and may end up moved down to the 5 or 6 spot in the Tiger batting order next season improving his RBI potential. Plus he can swipe 10-15 sacks. Overall Morneau still gets better numbers but factor in the difference between Peavy and Penny and it looks like a winning deal for you. Personally I make the trade. Good luck!

I say do the deal also. Peavy is a better option through the second half. Also Granderson is the real deal and he bats leadoff in that star studded Detriot lineup.

do it. if your biggest need is starting pitching, then your getting arguably the best pitcher in baseball. granderson had a pretty good season last year, and he's on pace to do even better this season. i say its a good trade. good luck.

i think of you may desire to attend a speedy time longer because of the fact by the sound of issues the Packers are not incredibly particular in the event that they want Favre back so shop rodgers for now and notice what happens.
