yeah, yeah, yeah. In the olden days, women were treated as property; men could play the field with no reperscussions but women were called nasty words.
one person's "good old days" are another's back-of-the-bus.
get over it.

Well I have to say out of all the people who have written questions about sex before marriage ect on here you are the most logical. I would just like to add there are lots of people who have kids in marriage and then get divorced. So in the long run they end up being a single mother/parent. But does that make it ok because they were once married? edit* I didn't mean have sex after they get divorced. You said about people who might end up getting pregnant and being a single parents/having an abortion. But I am saying that there are lots of people who are religious and get married and work at their relationship for years and just end up in divorce. And then are single parents. I mean do you know what the divorce rate is? Its huge.

"I am 27, and all the girls I meet have had more lovers than the prostitutes used to have in Grampas time."-AHHA! Wow.-lol. Thats funnny "Grampas time." Look, I'm 20 and good looking and yes I am virgin. I hate slobs and low life guys. I want to marry a gentlemen, not an idiot. Thus I will not have sex until I he finds me-why sleep with 50 guys just to try to prove that it's ok to be a woman and sleep around, just because it's "your body and it's the 21 century?"--I don't think so. Those who re s disgust me. Thank God I know that goog things happen to those who wait; are patient-thats me, and a few good women. I'm a proud virgin!

Lou, I know what you're saying man. I still wish it was the same way, where the women had a little more value to themselves and at least had some respect for their future husbands so that they would wait till they were married to have sex instead of doing it every time they felt they were in the mood. It's a shame that this has to happen, but like you, I am still waiting for someone like that as well, that has been safe from that. Anyways, good luck man.

Good old days for who?
Women got tired of being seen as some virgin trophy and of being disappointed in bed after they were already married.
Men have always had the ability to have sex before marriage and be called studs. Women are somehow prostitutes if they do it. Big enough double standard?

I personally don't think that's as true of the past as you would like to believe, and I think if you're going to find a way to be happy, you have to do it in the present. I think even though it's sometimes troubling, people who have had some 'experience' are a lot more interesting in many ways than people who have not.

-First those women aren't prostitues. There worst than prostitutes. At least prostitutes get paid.
-Keep looking I'm sure you'll find a girl that respect her body and husband enough to wait. Maybe a Church. A good church were people aren't hypocrital and say one thing but do another. So I think if went to nice church you'll for sure find a virgin.

I believe sex is a big part of a relationship, especially if you plan on being monogamous. So I want to make sure we are sexually compatible before going out and taking oaths in front of friends, family and GOD.
I think times has changed from my Great-Grandfathers days when sex was almost a sin in itself. Now people express themselves more openly with tattoos, peircings, sexual preferences, etc. People like to have sex for fun, after all, it is pretty fun isnt it? As long as 2 adults agree and they do so in a responsible manner (protection), I think its ok. Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt want to hear that the new girl im dating has slept with 15 guys, but thats her choice, and I can choose rather to stick with her, or find a virgin.

I have high morals and I refuse to have sex because everyone else is doing it. I'm reserving the purity that I have now (virginity), until my wedding night. I believe that if you meet someone you can be with, enjoy spending time with, and live with, without having sex, than you've found somebody worth your time. Today, everybody is so rushed to have sex and see what kind of lover somebody is - especially men - who pressure a woman to have sex, because if the sex isn't good - why stick around?
I'm waiting until the night I get married because I think that if someone wants to marry me without having sex with me for a few years before the day we "get hitched", then he's worth my time, trust, and he deserves the ultimate gift I can give him - my virginity.
Likewise though, I couldn't marry someone who had had previous sexual encounters, it would make me feel uncomfortable and pressured. Which is why I'm confident that me and my current boyfriend are going to make it somewhere, because neither of us are in a rush to have sex, and we get along perfectly without it.

Even though I am a "grandpa" at 52, my wife of 28 years and I both were virgins when we got married and have been monogomous every since. I believe sex is just self gradification and making love is something you do with just one person and it is completly selfless.

Go to your local non-denominational, Spirit filled, full Gospel church. Granted, not every single woman in the congregation will be waiting until marriage, but I bet the majority are.
