The reason why you have an Orlando address is because you live within the Orlando postal district. However, if you physically reside in unincorporated Orange County that means you live outside of Orlando city limits. Orlando has never been able to annex many areas because of the classic battle between city vs. county government. You can view an official map of Orlando city limits at the city website:

The City limits borders of Orlando resemble a ragged horseshoe, taking in I-drive in the Southwest, Lake Nona and the Airport in the southeast. So there are lots of places in the county that are not within the Orlando city limits. But you are closest to (or maybe even surrounded by) Orlando so that is the City name for your address.
Orange county has several other cities besides Orlando. As well as some named unincorporated areas (that may have been cities at one time) So if you do not live in or adjacent to one of those other cities, you get 'Orlando' as an address.
Some other Cities in Orange County:
Winter Park, Maitland, Edgewood, Belle Isle, Winter garden, Ocoee, Windemere, Apopka
Other city names that are used in Orange County, even though they are 'unincorporated' Pine Castle, Union Park, Fern Park, Taft, Lake Buena Vista, Bithlo, Christmas, Goldenrod.

No, there are a lot of areas of Orange County where the cities do not overlap. I used to have a Winter Park address but I did not live in winter park... it was a small (really small, like a few blocks) area where Orlando and Winter Park did not come together... so really I didn't live in a city at all, just Orange County, which is your situation now. I know it sounds crazy, and it effects your taxes and some other stuff but thats how it works.

If you live in Unincorporated Orange county you do not live within the city limits. You live in the county. The use of the city name is how we deliver mail in the US,with a city and state as part of the address.
