You will be asked to present a topic of your choice to observe you classroom behaviour. So pick something you are familiar with and give a class on it in front of a mirror to your self. They are looking to see how well you prepare, present, how clear you are, and they will ask you to deal with disruptors and problem students, they will interrupt you to ask questions just like the students will do in a real classroom setting. Don't be distracted, keep a pleasant and good demeanour and if they don't ask any of this of you in the interview, let them know that you prepared a lesson plan and a presentation anyway. Good Luck on your interview, you will do fine, and we definitely need more good math teachers who care.

They may ask,
" What will you expect of your fellow teachers and the front office"..... to which you will answer, " I hope to have their support and respect and benefit from their knowledge".

They may ask,
" What are your views on classroom discipline" ( or something similar)
to which you should answer, " I will set a good example by being respectful to my students but, at the same time, follow all rules for disciplinary procedures as outlined in the school handbook. "

Try for concise answers, not long and drawn out. Other questions they may ask ( since you are new to the profession)...
" How will you involve the parents in the child's education?"
" What were challenges did you encounter during student teaching.?"
" What concerns do you have about teaching?"
" What will you bring to the classroom to ensure success for all students ?"

And, try to relax. You'll be just fine !!!

Some suggestions for you to ask:
What levels/fields of math will I be teaching?
What technology will be available for my students (schools LOVE teachers who use technology like graphing calculators)
