The favorites are:
Pats- all those off season moves
Colts- defending champs
Saints- high powered offense
Chargers- the most talented team in the league
Bears- great defense and if good Rex plays most of the time
will be very dangerous
My biased prediction to win the superbowl will be the Saints because they are my favorite team but most likely it will be the Pats.

Hey Patriot Fans!
Here is how your beloved Patriots have performed against Indianapolis in the past 3 meetings:
Indianapolis: 105 points, 1262 yards, 84 1st downs, 4 turnovers, and 6 punts.
New England: 75 points, 956 yards, 58 1st downs, 8 turnovers, and 9 punts.
I don't think Moss, Stallworth, and Thomas will close that gap!
Patriot fans love to say "We were only a couple plays from the Super Bowl so we are a shoo in!". Well you know what? You were also one play from a 21 point loss that play being the Hobbes kickoff return. If the Colts had stopped him I think the Patrots would have completely collapsed. Watch the tape and tell me I'm lying.
As to the poster's question, Colts will win the Super Bowl. They really didn't lose that much from the championship team. The only real question is at backup running back because Addai has never carried a full game. Keiaho will replace June nicely and, in fact, is better against the run. June beat him out because he was a better pass defender. Bethea played almost all year in place of Doss. This leaves the cornerbacks but the strength of the Tampa 2 is that it is very forgiving of inexperienced cornerbacks. Also, Jackson and Hayden both made key interceptions in the playoffs and should do pretty well as starters.
I believe they will play the Cowboys but I really don't see too many real threats in the NFC.

Broncos, and not just because they are my favorite team. There are many reasons that they are going to win it all
1) Their secondary. They have, without a doubt, the best secondary in the NFL. John Lynch and Champ Bailey, Pro Bowl Starters last year, are staying in Denver, and they brought in Dre Bly from Detroit to replace the late Darrent Williams. Almost nobody, maybe not even the passing great Colts, will be able to pass against the Broncos.
2) D-Line. This was their real weakness last year, but they were able to bring in a couple good guys for their D-Line, including their first round draft choice Jarvis Moss. It won't be easy to run on these guys.
3) Passing Game. Cutler is now a sophmore, and has had a chance to get to know the WR's Smith and Walker. They also brought in Stokley, who has already started to compare Cutler to the Great Manning. As long as Cutler doesn't go into a sophmore slump, that passing game will not be beat.
4) Running Game. The Broncos have always been known for turning average RB's into 1000 yard rushers. Now they have a 1000 yard rusher already in Travis Henry. Who knows what they could do with him!
That's why the Broncos will make it all the way.

Pats vs. Saints
Why?
Pats: Tom Brady and company almost stole a victory away from the Colts this past postseason in Indianapolis. The key additions of Kelley Washington, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker and 'now veteran' Randy Moss gives TB more than enough targets to be effective(should produce better fantasy numbers this year) Brady had Reche Caldwell and Doug Gabriel as his targets last season; hence--huge upgrade at the WR position. Maroney is a stellar back and will get most of the reps now that Corey Dillion is no longer with the team.
Defense is always great.
Runners up: Colts, Chargers
Saints: From top to bottom, by far the most explosive offense in the NFC and possibly the NFL. Brees, Deuce, Bush(a year older) Colston, Henderson, Meachem (1st round pick) and Copper(underatted) will put up an average of 28.0 ppg in a weak NFC conference. If the D holds up their end of the bargain, the Saints will be holy this season.
PS: It's hard to believe they were the 2nd worst team 2 seasons ago.
Runners up: Cowboys, Eagles

I believe that it is going to be someone in the NFC this year.
I think the Patriots are building their selves a Yankee size hole by getting all this talent for one last hurrah. They will make the playoffs, but I don't think they will get passed the AFC title game.
The Colts have questions in their secondary and LB's. Also, I think defenses figured out Mannings audibles judging from the drop off in production.
The Chargers have enough talent to overcome the front office debacle of firing Schottenheimer and hiring Turner. Most of players are familiar with him anyways from his stint as the OC in 2001. I think they will represent the AFC.
As for the NFC, who ever comes out is going to be a surprise. The Saints cannot have the same year they had last year. Teams will be looking for them this time. Chicago is suffering from the Super Bowl jinx. I am looking at maybe Carolina getting it together for this season or maybe Seattle or St. Louis being a surprise.

NFC rep-Saints,
they made it to the NFC championship game last year, and they still have much the same team, Brees is an outstand QB with some good receivers, McAllistor and one of the most exciting players in the league Reggie Bush
AFC rep-Colts
reigning champs are the champs until somebody beats them,
addai can handle the load even with rhodes gone and anytime you have peyton and those receivers your offense is gonna do some great things. they also just locked up perhaps one of the best d lineman in the league in the person of Dwight Freeney
Its hard to pick between these teams considering I beleive the saints Defense has a slight edge and the colts have one of the most clutch kickers of all time I think it will come down to the saints wanting it more

NFL is a hard game to predict, every year I make my picks, and usually they are wrong due to injuries and other intangibles. If I were to pick a team thats going to win it right now, I would say New England Patriots. They were close last year, and have won it 3 times already in the last 5 years. They have Randy Moss now, they got rid of Corey Dillon so that means Maroney gets to show what he truly is capable of. They have Wes Welker now to solidify their special teams, and they have signed Adalius Thomas to help stuff the run for defense. Oh, yeah they still got that Brady guy. I can't stand the Patriots, but right now, that is who I think is going to win it all, and with any luck, my 49ers have a legitimate shot to face off against them come February 3, 2008 in Glendale, Arizona.

Its not really a prediction as much as it is more common knowledge, the Patriots are going to win the superbowl hands down.

Yea i can, the Patriots gonna win it all this year. To much offense and defense. Last year they didn't win it because of the passing games is none existing, but this year they addressed by signing alots of WR, like Randy Moss and Donte Stallworths should be awesome of 1and 2 punch combo. The defense should be *** strong again as ever lead by LBs core of Teddy Bruschi and co. Secondary should be superb lead by Asante Samuel. The QB will be explosive with Tom Brady at the helm, he'll be his usual great under pressure type of player. I'll predict Tom will be the MVP of the league and the super bowl MVP.

49's vs Jets.
Why: Because everyone making predictions won't have these two teams circled to go all the way. That and I like making very bold predictions that goes against everyone elses.
San Fran beats the Jets 37-26.
The world goes mad after that by drinking tap water over bottled watter.
