Hello, I am thinking about buying a Dell XPS 410 with an E6600 2gigs of 800 mhz ram and a 8600 GTS. I was just wondering if that would be worth it and if i would see a big difference between that and my old machine. My old machine has a Pentium 4 3.0ghz HT 2 gig 400mhz ddr2 ram, and a 512 mb version of the 6800gs.

Also does anyone know what kind/brand of the 8600 GTS dell will be putting in the XPS410?

Thanks in advance

YES, there will be a significant improvement. Note in benchmarks below that the 8600GTS outperforms the 7600GT. The 7600GT easily beats your 6800GS.

But take note that awesome performance comes from the 8800GTS.
