This is my status message on both MSN and Skype, and sporadically I would get alarming reactions from some men.

Just wanted to know your opinion guys.

Thank you!

Suthern Yankee: they can't be hostile with me because I am nice to them.

fatekiss8: Thanks! Sometimes you have to take a stand. ;-)

That is awesome!! I think most wifes are clueless to what their husbands do on-line! I think the men that give you negative reactions are the ones doing it behind their wife's back.. Basterds...men and women can be complete pigs on-line!!

That is sort of like asking "Does your husband know you chat at the mall?" Why should they care, unless you are neglecting them when you do it. "Chatting" is not the same as seeking an illicit relationship "cheating". Doing it online just means you have a larger arena in which to find people of like interests. That being said, most of the chat rooms I have been in appear to be populated by people looking for sexual tittilation and hiding behind false personas. It is mostly a way to engage in fantasy and not something to be taken seriously. On the other hand, there are some where genuine interest develops and people have online friendships and concern for one another, although they will never see each other in real life.

My wife did not know about my chatting habits.
until that fateful day when she found out that i am online at least an hour a day chatting to people around the world.

Now we are divorced and i am the happiest i have ever been.

Chatting is a great way to find people with like interests.

I know that my husband chats on~line, just like he knows that I do..We keep nothing from one another regarding the on~line world..He had a woman tell him once that he was trying to cheat on me..all he was doing was talking, nothing dirty..he told her I was sitting right by him, of course she didn't belive him til he turned the cam on..Not all men, or women for that matter are out to cheat while they chat!

I am a women, and if you think your wife does not know and would rather let you think so, then you are only fooling yourself.

She just chooses to let you have your jollies, as long it is on line. Wake up you men out there. We know more that you think we do.

your status message does two things , one wakes up the guilty and they stop chating with you

and second the conmen will continue chating as they can cheat on line..

You are reminding me of a joke.

one boy loved this girl and she asked her dad to consider him as his son in law.. so dad invited him .. and when boy was ushered in.. the dad asked one questin.. do you drink.?
the boy cooly told dad .. ís this a question or an offer.

so your status message serves two purpose...

The reactions are pretty normal, especially if the guys in a relationship or marriage are doing it. I'm surprised they haven't gotten hostile with you.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?12QE

Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
