Well, uh, no. Not by a long shot.

And it's 'osteoporosis' actually, for correct spelling.

I suppose you could say that the initial vowel sound in both words is the same. Or close.

Something tells me I'm not really getting what you mean here.

No, they certainly do not rhyme but can be allegorical.
Osteoporosis has to do with bones and dogs love to chew on bones.......
