BUT it does burn calories. How hard you're dancing will really determine how much your burn, and like someone else said, it all depends on how much you burn and consume. Burn 3500 more calories in a week than you consumed, and you'll lose a pound. If you want to more acurately see how many calories you're burning, invest in a heart rate monitor.

Well, dance dance revolution is a video game but it is also dancing (obviously) so you are getting excersize by playing it. You could lose weight by playing it if you are eating healthy and cutting down on calories.

well there is the new wii fit coming out for the wii it is for getting up and doing something and it will have exorcising games on it too (but it dosnt come out yet), but the wii itself looks like you could lose some pounds. but honestly just look for games with attachments that allow your to do more then just press buttons.
