NICE QUESTION...Do you trust politicians

2007-07-15 08:01:33 · answer #1 · answered by bwuny 3 · 0 0

Choosing a garage, is much like choosing a doctor. You know their qualifications are good but do they really know what they are doing? By the time you decide they are NOT qualified, it's usually too late!

Trust, these days, is hard to come by. Usually you go with a gut feeling when it comes to trusting someone, the same should be said for the garage you take your vehicle to. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

Some things to think about: Are they ASE certified? Although not always 100%, ASE certification can weed out the weaklings. Look at their shop, is it kept in a relatively clean and orderly fashion? Look at them, are they looking professional and/or talking to you in a professional manner? What about their working tools? I know this can sound contrite but are their tools scattered all over the place or are they kept in a tool box, except for the one's they are using? And last but not least, ask around, if they are trustworthy, almost all of his customers will tell you so....

Hope this helps....

Not really, but I do the same as any other business: I prefer a garage that has a lot of satisfied customers over one which is just starting or which doesn't have many customers. And I trust it even more, when I go specifically by recommendation of someone I know, who had his/hair repaired there and was very happy with both the service and price.

Probably less than would be right. I've been doing such a lot of car stuff for so long, and experienced so many almighty cockups along the way with garages, and lost so much money not fixing cars the first time round, I just had to get a little bitter.
Erm, make that an ale.

No!! Simply because my other half in an honest motoring engineer, he works with a garage. They are an honest firm and work very hard to accomodate people, but with being in the business i hear all sorts of stories, and a majority of them are con artists, taking advantage of people with no idea about cars, i think its disguisting, my advice is find a good garage and stick with them. And if in doubt get a second, third and fourth opinion, you can report garages for shoddy work and conning you into extra.

That sounds very costly. Pollen filter out-its probable written that it will get replaced at a undeniable mileage yet i wouldnt project. The pollen filter out has not something to do with the engine so it wont count. All it does it clean out the pollen in the ventillation to make it greater friendly for hayfever victims. Wiper blades-they could % changing yet they're somewhat ordinary to interchange your self and that they value £a million.40 9 each and every from wilko (entire of £2.ninety 8) air con regas-in case you have used the air con those days and you sense that's working ok then dont project. purely regas it in case you sense it rather is not helpful adequate. suspension and anti roll- i won't be able to declare in spite of if those % changing over the internet anitfreeze and blake fluid flush-not mandatory yet must be dont each and every now and then. Blake fluid can grow to be slighly spongy after a on an identical time as making the blakes somewhat spongy. regardless of the undeniable fact that this would possibly not happen in one day, you will see it very progressively. fan and air con belt-i dont understand how ordinary that's to alter the air con belt however the fan belts on maximum vehicles can get replaced rather rather, regardless of the undeniable fact that, that's amazingly important if it snaps so dont overlook approximately it as its not purely the fan that's operated by making use of the fan belt

I believe most mechanics are trustworthy, but if you have reason to suspect one ask a lot of questions. The better you understand the work someone is doing on your car, the harder it is for them to scam you. There are also websites set up for you to check on the praises and complaints raised against a particular garage.
