Probably not. The baby is very well protected but if you are really worried call your doctor just to make sure. Maybe your doctor will want to do an exam.

Your fine, it could have been any number of your joints repositioning itself when you moved. As you get farther along your body puts out a hormone that allows the ligaments and muscles to loosen up in order to make delivery easier. I can make my wrists and my ankles snap at will and my hips pop from time to time. I'd really like to have someone crack my back though but I think I will not do that since no one can get their arms around my belly LOL.
As for the movements, the amount varies from day to day and from hour to hour. If you are really worried chug back about 4 glasses of ice cold water and then go lay on your left side. You should feel at least 5-10 movements in 1-2 hours. It also depends on how far along you are since baby may just have moved into a position where you don't feel him/her very much.
I recommend you enjoy the quiet times when baby is calm. The farther you get, the less room the baby has and the more uncomfortable the movements become. I'm one day shy of 37 weeks and when baby decides to have a wiggle fit it actually hurts me. My belly is very sore and tender from him stretching it out. I know the end result is well worth the minor discomfort but I really wish he had more room or didn't wiggle so much LOL.
Congrats on your baby to be!

Aside from all of the great answers already given...with my first child much more than the others, I worried A LOT about lack of movement at times, straining myself too much at work, etc. So I went on EBAY and bought a heartbeat monitor (I think I paid about $25), so that I could listen to my son's heartbeat any time I wanted to. It's not a substitute for a doctor's appt. if you think something is seriously wrong, but it was very reassuring at moments when I was just nervous, sometimes for no reason! lol And just laying in bed at night, listening to his heatbeat through the headphones was amazing in itself, made me feel even more connected to the life inside of me.

Hi! I think you may have hurt yourself, maybe, but I really doubt that you've hurt the baby...the fetus is so very well protected. all that fluid and all is a wonderful cushion against shocks...When you see your doctor, you'll feel MUCH better! Is this your first pregnancy? I'm not being superior; I promise! (I was pregnant only once, and have only one child); but my best friend has 5!, and I noticed that the more pregnacies she had experienced; the more nonchalant she became. I swear; the last time; I really thought she was planning to just have "Spike" at home, and then finish cleaning her house! Good luck, and congratulations! }:>

More likely your back is adjusting--the cartilege in your whole body is softening to ready you for the birth of the baby.
Have your mom put her ear on different spots (probably mid-tummy) and see if she can hear the baby's heart beat. That should make you feel better. If baby is moving, her heartbeat is up over 100 bpm, she's fine. Don't panic Mom!

By the way, I just want to take this opportunity to remind you that mothers (me and your mom included) are some of the wisest creatures on the face of this planet. You should listen to us and revere us greatly.
P.S. No one will ever love you as much as your mom. You can trust her advice and counsel.

Oh yes, I know exactly the feeling you mean...I have had 3 children but I only felt it with my last child..I went to the doctors too, but I was re-assured with an ultra-sound that everything was fine, its just something that happens sometimes plzzz dont worry, but still go to the doctors, if only for the assurance that everything is ok, plus the added benefit of hearing the heartbeat again :))

The baby in utero can withstand a fall flat on your face and even a minor car accident! Trust me, I know!! I'm sure if it is fine, but you know your body better than anyone, so if you are worried, absolutely make an appointment. And don't let anyone ever make you feel stupid for being concerned about your child...you're a mother, it's built in. If your mother-bear instinct wasn't kicking in...it's then that I would worry! :)

I think everything is o.k, if u had hurt the baby u would be in some kind of pain or discomfort, Also the baby is well protected in her very own water world (lol). So stop stressing and cheer up.

I am not a doctor so I don't know for sure, but from everything I have read you should be fine. If you don't want to wait to call/see your doc tomorrow, check the phone book for one of those nurse hotlines. You can call it and see what she/he says.
