I am using a humidifier and I tried clearing his nose with an aspirator.... but i feel like it all doesnt come out. Is it ok that he is real sleep and sleepy alot? Also is it safe to give them OTC decognestants? Or should I wait for his doc app? Any other tips, advice, thanks

If he appears to be having a hard time breathing, has a high fever(Id say 100.4 for infants), lethargic, or not drinking, I would take him to the hospital. Sleeping is okay as long as he's urinating, eating and drinking.

Call his doctor if you have any questions, dont hesitate. If you have saline, apply some in his nostrils(like 2 drops each) and then suction it out. It helps a lot.

While he's sleeping, make sure his head is a little elevated, it helps the congestion a bit.

Hope he feels better!

Sleeping is really good for him. I used tylenol simply stuffy for my son so he wouldnt get any extra meds he didnt need. Always good to check with the doc first but it should be ok. The doc wont be able to tell you if he's gonna have an allergy or anything to the meds. He shouldn't though. Sleeping will make him more comfortable and will help him get better. You like to lay down when you feel crappy too. He's a little person and does the same. He'll be back to normal in no time.

I wouldn't give him any over the counter medicine until you check with your doctor, some medications can cover up some symptoms that a doctor needs to see. Sleeping is ok for your baby as long as he is still eating at least every 4-6 hours or so and is urinating and having bowel movements, I would get him in and on something made for newborns. Good luck

Just monitor his temp and if it goes over 100 degrees give him a cool bath and some baby tylenol half the normal dose for under 12 months.. .There's not a whole lot you can do for a lil guy when he has a cold, except let it run it's course... Just make sure he's eating, drinking and peeing/pooping... If he's not get him into the doctor as soon as possible..
