I've tried:
1. Removing firewalls. antivirus, spyware
2. Unplugging and waiting.
3. Typing in: ipconfig /renew.
4. Replacing network card.
5. Trying 'repair'.
6. Uninstalling/installing network drivers.
7. Calling Insight cable.
8. Doing a virus check

This is the strangest thing I've ever experienced. ONLY a reboot restores it. Does it every time. Anyone have other ideas?

There may be a problem in your system files.
There's also a possibility that the dialup connection(if u have one) is not properly configured or there may be some settings that limit internet access after a few hours.

What did your ISP tell you was wrong? Without knowing that, we can only guess. That said, this will work, guaranteed.

Your PC is infected with Malware, probably a RootKit. And you didn't test for THEM. There's only one way to get rid of them for sure:

Back up all personal data from your PC ("Backup" means: copy to CD / DVD / external hard drive). Then, do a Windows "Clean Install", for further instructions, go to: http://www.theeldergeek.com

Note: You must use your Recovery disks, if included with your PC, to avoid driver problems, not a store-bought XP disk.

The Recovery disks may be ON the hard drive, so Read The Friendly Manual FIRST to find out how to make your own Recovery disks, if it's not already too late.
