Do they work better?what do most women use for there period?

It is usually a preference for the individual. Tampons allow you to wear skimpier underwear, go swimming, and ensure you don't leak if you are doing certain activities like dancing and sports. Personally, pads feel like a diaper because they just sit there for hours collecting fluid (which can feel unsanitary.) Tampons can sometimes be uncomfortable (if inserted wrong) or leak (if a big enough one isn't used for a heavier flow) but generally some women prefer to use them for a cleaner feeling or their type of lifestyle.
It wouldn't be fair to say one works better than the other... its like comparing a truck to a sedan -- they just have different uses.

some women use tampons either:
1. When swimming (because pad would get soaked and not work)
2. So pad doesn't show through cloths
3. So they never "lean at the wrong angle", but in think "just wear a bigger pad" is the better option.

Each woman has a different answer for this... I prefer tampons, but I have friends that wont touch them... There are more (health) risks with tampons. They bleach the cotton and put fiberglass in the cotton so that you bleed more. All natural tampons are better for you but they still pose a risk. You are putting a foreign thing into your body and your body may not like it so it can make you really sick.

Pads are not health threatening. But I find it pretty gross to be sitting in a diaper full of stuff all day.

seeing as your a guy i dont know why youd want to know but personally i prefer tampons. they dont really work much better during the day but they do at night. i like them better cause its like not having a period at all. plus with a pad im always worried about leaks. i havent used a pad in close to a year now thats how much they suck. i hate pads

well lets see. since your a guy and i have no idea why you are asking this question. lets pray that you have a gf that wants to know and doesnt know how to type. lets see you can use a pad for all sorts of things. not just periods. you can use them under your hat to catch sweat on hot days. for a cut stopper when you hurt yourself on your skateboard. and for tampons you can launch tehm in the air like your playing gi joes. you can float them in the toilet and let ants play on them. or if you want you can do what my 6 year old does to get back at me and stick one in your gf glass of tea while shes not looking and then make an *** of yourself by laughing at her. but i dont think she would appreciate that. now when you start your period then we will talk..

mmm in my case I use tampons the first two days, then when mi period gets lighter I use pads, I think most women use pads, tampons work better for me as they protect me more i heavy days, but avery woman is different.

Yes Tampons are better there virtually invisible and less of a hassle, depends on the girl on what they feel comfortable with

I've purchased thousands of the former and hundreds for latter
in public use areas in a paid employment position. Both went into vending fixures that sold all content for two bits apiece. Simple math shows one where the market is.

Why don't you try 1 of each and decide yourself? You can wear a pad 1 day ...the next stick a tampon up your butt.
