to test my theory: Most of my friends are Italians and Italian is my second language. People always get interested when they hear me speak Italian and ask me from where in Italy I come from, when I say that I'm not from Italy but Mexico, everybody "disappears" and don't want to continue a conversation (usually at parties). My friends say that I shouldn't say that I am from Mexico but from Italy. I think that's pretty messed up and a big caca de perro...what do you think?

That is cool that you can speak Italian,Spanish and English, sounds like you have snooty friends, I would be more interesting in speaking with a Aztec princess that has a command of those other languages, as they say "to thine self be true............

Don't ever lie. Always be yourself. There are good people who like you the way you are. I am one of them.
By the way Mexican are honest and decent people with good family and friendship values. So, you have to proud of it. As for those who walk away when you told them you are from Mexico, that is their own big problem that need to deal with psychiatrist. It is not your problem. I believe they are sick.
If they were normal people, they should respect you with your beautiful character not because you speak Italy or because I speak French. Character is what counts. Since you can't change all these idiots mentality over night, I will advise you to be yourself maintaining always your confidence.

If you lie once you will have to continue lying. But today to keep people interested you do have to come from Italy to be deemed interesting speaking a foreign language. But, I think you are interesting already and worth getting to know whether you came from Mexico. You earned the right to be known. Forget those shallow people. They know nothing and are just haters. You sure did fool them aye!

You shouldnt lie about where you are from, what you should do is start hanging out with people of intellect. The people that shy away from you because you are originally from Mexico are dumb and shallow. In fact, if I were you when people asked my how I learned Italian, I would just say something to the effect of :I picked it up somewhere" If they ask you where you are form tell them its not as important as where you are now. Maybe that will keep their dumb butts quiet.

I think you should continue to tell the truth. If someone doesn’t like you for who you are then you don’t need them in your life anyways. Be proud of you heritage and don’t hide behind another’s.

dont lie about who you are because later on they are going to find out you lied when they start asking you questions and you dont know how to answer them....just say you speak italian but you are from mexico...if that stops the convo then its whatever...dont lie to try to seem a better person...be happy with who you are and screw them people who want you to be something different...
