Denifitely, they should be encouraged into politics. Saying this, there should be courses of study setup for teaching any budding politicians respect for everyone, ethics, economics (not in-depth, just a good understanding of the basics) public speaking. This should be funded by the main Federal policital entities (Republicans and Democratics in the U.S.A) Liberals, Conservatives, New Democratics, and Party Quebecquois in Canada) with no strings attach. The Parties would not be allowed to have the funds re-imbursed by the government. This would be a cost of doing business. The funding could be based on membership, elected members at the federal level.

The fund could also give assistancve to those who can not afford to take these studies.

This would ensure a constant supply of inform people who wish to enter the field of politics.

First of all there is no politician on the national level that gives a damn about the little guy. The rich are not the enemy though so stop making them that. I do agree that good people are afraid to get into politics because the opposition will search for the one thing you have done wrong in your life and will intentionally bring it into the public eye to humiliate you and for no other reason than to gain power for themselves. None of us are perfect but some will pretend they are while outing others with whom they disagree and that is disgraceful

No we should encourage them into science, and encourage our scientists to take a greater roll in our government, that is currently being over-run by attorneys and businessmen.
