That is just how it is going to be for at least the first year. It is your body still needs to regulate it. What you are experiencing is normal. Welcome to the wonderful world of being a woman.

Your periods should regulate themselves after about 6 months or so. I started when I was nine yrs old. There is a positive side to having your period. It generally means that you are not pregnant. Which brings me to my next comment. Now that you are having your periods if and when you become sexually active USE PROTECTION. Like condoms and foams to prevent pregnancy. Your school nurse (if you don't feel like you can talk to your parents about birth control) should be able to help you with that issue. Now that your periods have begun you will also start feeling more attraction for the opposite sex (boys) or girls whatever is your inclination is. Sometimes it feels like these feelings are overwhelming and you just have to do something about them....i.e...have sex with a boy.....these feelings are hormonal and have absolutely nothing to do with LOVE whatsoever. These feelings are reproductive in nature and do not equate LOVE. At your age (and can be up to age 60 for some guys the conquest never stops) a boy is only interested in getting into your pants. Never equate wanting to have sex with someone to mean they love you or you love them. Love takes commitment and years of getting to know one another. Sex only last a moment, 5 minutes at best, but getting pregnant will take a whole 18 years of your life.
So starting your periods can be a pain in the you know what but it just means you are growing up, maturing, and getting older. Just don't do what I did when I was your age. I let the doctors put me on the "Pill" to regulate my periods. Don't do this. It will mess up your hormones and natural growth in height. It will also (for most) make you gain weight. I am not talking about being model skinny either because that is just disgusting....but the Pill will mess with weight gain for some.
Other than that get use to it honey because you will be having periods for the next 40 years or so.....yes it is a pain and can be embarrassing at times but it is just part of life and you will get used to it. So you can be cranky when you are having your periods or you can chose to be happy about it. Life is more fun being happy about something than being a cranky "B" when you are on your periods.
By the way....your periods should start out being irregular like it is being, you may not have another for a couple of months, or you might have two every month....they should come every 28 days from the first day of your last period. But if your periods get way too long and way to heavy (I am talking about a pad or a tampon change every 1/2 hour) then you should probably be seen by your family doctor. Excessive bleeding can lead to anemia and feeling tired all of the time. You may need iron supplements should your periods remain heavy and long. But they should start out heavy and then taper off to just "spotting" and should last a week to 10 days and as you get older they should shorten up to 4 to 5 days long.. I got anemic from my periods being so heavy and had to take iron supplement. The doctors put me on the Pill to shorten my periods and to lessen the blood flow. But I also stopped growing in height after that. I know that genetics play a huge role in how tall you will be but hormones at young ages signal the pituitary gland to stop making the HGH, which stops growth in height so that is the trade off for shortening up your periods and Menstruation flow.

well, because its your first period you are going to be irregular and since this is new to your body it is probably just trying to find out how to get through your system. dont worry give it a couple more days like 4 maybe and then ask a doctor.

properly its established to now have a heavy circulate. To get pads to the loos the two tuck one decrease than your jumper or purchase a bag to maintain them in! :D properly consistent with threat in case you dont prefer to ask a male tell a girl instructor and that they are going to ask the male to allow you bypass (without asserting a pair of era) For tenting placed on a tampon and use a bag to get them to the washing room (human beings will think of its a makeup case or something) The lavatories could have a speical pad/tampon bin so dont problem.

Its trying to regulate itself. Since it is your first one it will be crazy..It will stop eventualy but there is not really a way to regulate it..You just have to deal with it :D

Sucks doesn't it?
