Short, TRUE story that happened to me,
and made me believe...

Years ago my granduncle asked me to caretake his old home place. It was 4 miles from the nearest house or road, a complete old-fashioned farm with an 8-bedroom house. Of course I thought it would be way cool so I went out and stayed there.
There was a small stairway leading up from the front room to the bedrooms upstairs. At the very top of the stairs was a small bedroom. The rooms had old iron latches on the doors that you had to lift to open the door. The latches were heavy, so you couldn't jar the door open, you had to lift the latch to open it.
I chose the big corner bedroom next to the little bedroom at the top of the stairs. I slept great, listening to the night birds and the creek which gurgled softly at the foot of the hill.
In the morning I noticed the door on the small bedroom was open about 8 inches. I pushed it shut, lifting the latch to close it. When I went up to bed that night, the door was open again. I checked the latch, quizzed myself to be sure I hadn't been half asleep when I latched it that morning, and closed it again.
The next morning the door was standing open again. That time I thoroughly checked the latch and there was no way to jar the door open. I made sure it was shut and remembered I had shut it.
That night after finishing my chores and supper I went upstairs, and the door was open! Then I knew something was funny, so I firmly latched it, blew out my kerosene lamp and sat quietly on the edge of my bed...waiting.
In about 30 minutes I heard the latch softly lift and the door creak open. I took my flashlight and checked. Sure enough...it was open the same as before. I decided that something wanted that door to stay open, so I left it as it was.
Next time I saw my granduncle, who was 94 at the time, I asked him "Uncle Oley, is there anything special about the little bedroom at the top of the stairs?" He answered right away. "Yes, my older brother Eston died in that room of diptheria when he was 14 years old."
I didn't tell my uncle about the door, but it definitely made some sense. There was never any other noises or strange happenings. Something just wanted that door to stay open.
TRUE story. You figure it out, (No, no wind, house shifting, someone playing pranks...I checked all that out).

Buy some sage that is wrapped into a 'bundle' and light it with a match so that is is 'smoking.' Walk 'all the way around your whole house, at EVERY LEVEL, and be sure that you get the 'sage smoke' into EVERY CORNER. Say over and over again "Let only good spirits occupy this house, and all bad spirits be banished from it forever." Do this three times ... one in the morning, one 'mid-day' and one in the evening (after dark) ... then, if you still have a 'ghost' you'll know that it is a 'good ghost' and you can 'talk to it as a friend to a friend and it will either stay (if it is your real friend) or 'go away' if it doesn't like you. It does NOT MATTER if you are 'religious' or belong to any particular religion ... this will WORK ... and that's what you really wanted to know, isn't it? How to 'get rid' of your 'personal' ghost, or at least get to be 'friends' with it so it won't 'harm or frighten you.'

I use to be a Wiccian High Priestess and used to get called to cleanse a home or person quite often, since it seems to be my gift, dealing with otherworldlyness.

SInce judging by your experiences you can't live together (the ghost and family). Remember a ghost can not really harm you unless you give it the power to do so. You and your family can deny it any power by ignoring it and mentally refusing to allow it to interrupt your lives. It really does help I promise. But on top of that you also need so type of cleansing ceremony like the sage one described above or a priest (if you can find a religious person to just bless the home without explaining exactly why, it works). Also you need to tell the ghost to go, sometimes they don't realize they are dead or that something better is waiting for them and it helps to remind them.

Hope this helps, I know its hard and this ghost sounds stubborn.

I tell people that I don't believe in ghosts, but if I lived in a house where a guy died in the kitchen, I will be horrified.

sure. I've obvious a pair glide over me. And, both I used to be top, or I obvious a face flying proper in the direction of me. My household has obvious ghosts on this condominium, matters have flown off the shelf, glass has broke. All that well stuff. But they're total pleasant. There has been two ghosts obvious right here, one among a shadow guy, and one more of a faded girl in all white. Normal methods of seeing ghosts, however they are right here.

I'm starting to question what's going on in my apartment.

I've been looking for a certain book for over a year with no results. Recently I moved my bedroom around and in the process cleaned every corner of the room. Well last night I went out for a while and when I came home the book I've been looking for was sitting on my bed.

My son was home all night and he swears he didn't put it there and that nobody came by. How on Earth did that book just reappear? Hmmm.....

I do believe they exist because of many incidents in my family lives but just because someone died in your kitchen doesn't mean that they are going to haunt you, I believe the spirits that are here still have unfinished business in their minds and cannot leave until they have it resolved.

Yes. In my house, the two original home owners died. I experience many things. Here are some examples:

Ok. So two nights ago, my family and I were eating dinner at the dinner table. My sister excused herself, and went downstairs to do homework, and my dad started to leave the room. So now it was just me, my mom, and my brother at the table. There was a small silence, then out of no where, there was music. It lasted just 1 second. We all jumped, and I asked, "Did you hear that?" My mom answered, "Yeah, did you?" "Yeah," my brother and I replied. So we were getting a bit creeped out by that, but pushed it aside. Then, today, when we got home from a long day of school, then play practice, I put my backpack down and went to open my (CUTE) dog's room door to let her out. She came out and wagged her tail like crazy, not caring what she bumped into, just happy to see her 'pack'. She started up the stairs, and I remained in the doorway of her room, just sitting there and smiling as the dog disappeared around the corner to greet another person. Then, behind me, I heard the metal banging on this sink that is in my dog's room. I jumped, turned, and saw nothing. I didn't touch it, and no one was in the room...."Sh*t," I whispered, then quickly got up and went upstairs and into my room to change. When I opened the door and walked in, I turned to close the door again, but it was already closing (This has happened multiple times in my room before, but not like this.) So then, I change quickly, and when I try to open my door, it doesn't move. "Go away!" I demand the ghost I KNOW is there. The door opens, then I hear a whispery voice say, "I shan't leave! I won't leave! I never will!" I kept getting an image of a guy in my mind, but pushed it away and ran out of my room to do my homework. CREEPY!

I have two additions to my story. Just yesterday, when I was taking my shower in the morning, something scary occurred. There are two razors (for shaving), one is mine, the others is my sisters. Mine was under cap's, and then it was taken up and it flew at me. Luckily, it didn't hit. Then, today, when I was drying my hair, the shower turned on. I looked around, and water was running, then, it just turned itself off. Creepy.

Yes, I believe in spirits. What about the guy who died in the kitchen? Are you experience weird things and wondering if it's him? or just worried he'll come back?

Well is the guy hanging around or you would just like him to? My great-uncle died in this room I am sitting in and left this house to me and my husband. Only once did he come back by to see us and it was to say he loved us and was glad we were in the house now. So yes, I believe in spirits.
