As a rule I usually don't hide from reality but as of late I just want to be left alone to figure out what is best.

Don"t we all? We all cower and hide from something at one time or another no matter how tough we think we are. And when we do come out again is it really safer or did we become braver or at least wiser than when we hid. Fear is just an emotion. Fear itself can never hurt us but it can hold us back, and so we withdraw, retreat, hide until we conquer our fear. Then sometimes what we fear isnt so bad. It may still be there, but if we can use rationality and reason, we can overcome it. Then again sometimes we just s*** our pants and say wtf?

Oh yes, I tend to be a 'head in the sand' kinda girl.....or at least I USED to be!! I'm finding that the safest place to be is in the midst of ones who care about and love you just as you are :)

No. There's never any guarantee that it's ever safe.
Sometimes you just have to take the risk. I've learned to always have my ducks in a row, just in case.

i dont like coming out of the closet i like it here in the closet it is dark and mysterious, maybe just a bit musty, maybe i need to come out again some day.

Yes, but I've discovered that they way to get over that is to become the person everyone else is hiding from.

all the time..* i hide in my safe place, til all the bad stuff around me fades away....and the sun comes out again... =) .. i'm not too good at standing up to it all..

I only stuck my big toe out, at first. Once I got comfortable with that much exposure, I extended my entire leg.
