I plan to take a road trip to check out a haunted house event in october. So far, austin TX is all i have in mind. I live in missouri BTW.

Wilmington, NC They have several different tours. The most famous is the Haunted Pub Crawl. You also have the battle ship ( it was on one of those haunting shows ob Discovery Channel) and when you get tired of that theres the beach. One hour north of Myrtle Beach.

Haha! I hope you have a ton of fun. I went on this ghost tour in Savannah, Ga, and we drove around in a hearse! (BTW, look that one up if you're ever around town.) Is it a REAL haunted house? Or one of those fake things with actors? =]

That sounds fun. Are trying to start your own TAPS (that cable ghost investigator show) or what's motivating you? There's also the Menger hotel in San Antonio, where I live.
