For example, the show Desperate Housewives. I know many of the TV's that have come out the past few years have "V-Chip" technology that lets someone block out certain shows and to be able to watch them you have to know the password. I'm just wondering if your husband or boyfriend did that, what shows wouldn't he allow you to watch?

Oh, hon, you are so off the mark.

You've got to be kidding.

It is my sincere hope he does not sit at work going, "Gosh, I hope she's not watching Desperate Housewives." (or, more accurately, "The Hallmark Channel", if we're gonna be real. He gags on that stuff. I love it.)

Anyway, I really don't think the man cares. He pays the bill. It's never a topic of discussion. When he's home we watch the Yankees.

Is this supposed to be a problem?

I hope you never find out what it is to be slapped in the face by your own mortality, Sandstorm.

Priorities change.
You become wise.
TV becomes a non-issue.
You learn to live your life.

I hope always TV is the biggest issue you have to contend with in life.

In a situation like this, the word 'Man' would be interpreted as, 'Husband'. And in which case the female, now being a wife should not be watching things like that. She should have no need to. And it's normally the wife/female that takes care of blocking channels for the children, so even if the husband did block shows like that for the wife, it wouldn't do him much good unless he took the time to block out shows and channels for the children as well.

So no, being unmarried and not letting a simple dating relationship turn into that, I would have to say that has never happened to me. And besides, the parents and the adults should be setting better examples to children and younger generations. So they themselves show not be watching such disgusting and inappropriate programs

It wouldn't work. You would have to be a genius at technology to keep me from cracking the code. Besides, the first time any man would try to limit me from being me woud be the time he gets kicked to the curb.
