I have to say NO, I have been trying to sell my card collection on ebay for weeks now. I attempted to sell around 15,000 cards for $190.00 and noone was interested. I also have lots of sets (not totally complete) from 2005-2007 mostly 2006 that I spend literally hundreds and hundreds on each one and could not sell them for 25.00 each. I listed about 15 complete factory sets from the late 1980's and early 90's in groups of 4-5 for 30.00 each lot and onone bought any. The real money investment seems to be in military collectibles, but if you do not plan on selling then by all means go for it.

Collecting? Yes. Obtaining for the purpose of reselling at a profit? Not by a long shot. The value is in the scarcity. If scarce cards were easy to come by, then they wouldn't be valuable. I collected baseball cards for years and stopped in about 2002, because it just became pointless and very expensive.

I don't think so. The market is way too unpredicatable and mostly you just lose.
