It depends on my mood.
If I need an energy boost, Rachael Ray.
If I want to stimulate my mind, Alton Brown.
If I want some downhome mothering, Paula Deen.
If I want to party, Emeril, grill, Bobby Flay, a taste for french via the Hamptons, Ina Garten or need a touch of Rome, Giada DeLaurentis.
But the king of gastronomic kings, has got to be my hero, MARIO BATALI (I bow to greatness)

Actually I like Rachel Ray because she makes food that is practical, Easy to make, that is from no particular back ground or origin, you know, not always Italian, or Chinese, or French, just good old American food that anyone can make. I am a cook by trade and I enjoy her recipes and her practical style. Plus she makes 30 minute meals and she uses ingredients that are not hard to find and are nearly always in season ( plus as you can tell she loves to eat )

Paula Deen (minus all the mayo and butter though) and Giadia DeLaurentiis. People need to shut up about Giadia's shirt though.
