I think its a question of value. Manning is going to be good for an average of 18-22 points a week and will have weeks in the 30's with that receiving corps. You want someone that will get you those same points or a combination of players (that you will start) that will get you 20+ a game. As far as your good nature and big heart goes, Its very admirable to want to make the league fair, but its a league and you are playing to win. Maybe keep Manning and deal one of your other QB's...

you could maybe try to get a top tier Wideout like T.O. and a mid tier running back, maybe Marshawn Lynch or Jamal Lewis. If you are trying to win keep LT and Payton! Hard to lose with that combo if they stay healthy. As a side note, make sure you get Michael Turner as LT insurance!
