YES, a whale shark is actually a shark (it is not a whale).
AND YES, a shark is a kind of fish but they differ from bony fish. Sharks have cartilage only, can only swim forward, and their eggs are fertilized in female bodies.

Yes it is actually a shark its also the biggest and its a mammal not a fish because it doesn't lay eggs whereas fish do.
