I bought a used paperback textbook (like for a college course) so it's heavy but the cover already came off and the first chunk of pages are starting too. Anyways, when I finish the class I will want to resell it but was wondering what is the best way to get the cover back on? I think tape is a little too tacky looking but it seems like the whole thing is about to fall apart but I haven't been rough with it I think it's just weakening down

Use a glue, a strong one, doesn't have to be superglue just something strong. Pressed it down with both hands, using your finger to make sure the glue is evenly spread out. Then, put the book between two other much heavier books, and wait til it dries. There, good as new :)

Tape it on the inside - where it will not show. - or take the cover to your local copy shop and have a nice color copy made of it on appropriate stock.
