Ohhhh...The Riding Gate Raiders !!!! there were several of
us, many of who's faces I can recall,but not the names !!
but, I am 62 !! It all happened in Affetside, Bolton, Lancashire...... up Tottington Road, into Riding Gate !!
I do hope somebody remembers !! and thank you for
bringing this lovely subject up !!!!!

We didn't have an actual title, although others called us lots of names... Once, we had a password, but everyone forgot it so we skipped the password part. We used to hang out in a tree on the hill behind my house, and we always built things there, which explains why all 4 of us are in the construction trades today!

The Pentire gang ,after the road we lived in ..All very innocent really . Had battles,well sort of , with the Woodford gang and the Riley mob... Ah! the days of boyhood,,, lots of nostalgia.

When i was 13 and up until i was 15 we had one it was called the Walton Gurlies and there was another gang we went around with called the Walton Lads we did everything together lol!

our gang was called the pigmailians and the password was snout. our den or gang hut was an ols air-rais shelter that was in my grandma's back garden. eventually it was taken away as it was dangerous
