just curious because I just downloaded foxfire onto my new laptop because the internet was slow,i remember my old one having both foxfire and internet explorer and it has never had issues with speed, though i never browsed directly with foxfire and only with IE eventhough i had FF on that computer.

you can browse on either one, but for me, Firefox tends to be the faster one.

Use Firefox for all web browsing instead of IE. IE should ONLY be used for Windows Updates, based on the opinions of Windows security. experts.

I use Firetune to optimize Firefox and, after the first session, is much faster than IE. Get Firetune from:

Firefox has better cache and download mechanisms than Internet Explorer.

So its good to use Firefox.

But if you are really attached to Microsoft products (like me) then go with Internet Explorer.
