The order of operations is Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction

ok... 4*2=8 8-2=6 6^2=36 36/9=4 4+2=6

so.... ((4*2) -2)^2 / 9+2=6

Does that make sense? Please message back n let me know... I hate math, but i sooooo understand it...a little bit lol

I know what you are supposed to do, put ( ) in meaning, do this first, and perhaps more then one, but I can't get it yet, we shall see.....

Reft

4*2-(2^2+2)=6*9....no, that's not right or ...oh, dang.
JUST insert grouping Syms? Nothing else?

4*(2-2^2)/(9+2)=6 No.....
that stupid divide makes this all so difficult....I feel sheepish x)

Reft-still thinking, but checking to see if another has gotten it

You wrote it correctly
Hm.
4*2-2^2/(9-6)+2=0
4*2-2^2/3+2=0
nope not gonna work
4*2(-6-2^2)/9+2=0
4*2(10)/9+2=0
I hate math.
Look about in his book and see what rules it just taught (if it's in a book) I may try again,. but I am not sure I am doing what it is asking..I think I may be balencing the sides or something.

I tried, sorry. And I showed my astounding math skills to.
ha.
