Don't really want to incite a discussion of men versus women. But what effect do you think it will have on our society's future? Say what you want, but in my personal experience, girls work harder and are much more concerned about their grades and accomplishments (thus they outperform men empirically). I even met a girl last night who wants to go to law school one day and marry a "trophy husband" that stays at home.

That's what I see. The same thing is happening where I live. Most of the girls I know are in school to land high paying professional jobs. They are earning their masters and PHDs.The guys don't seem as ambitious.

I think it will result in women taking on more of a leadership role. It will be their turn to guide society and decide our fate.

Great for her, woman perform harder because they have to.
The glass ceiling is alive and well and living inside corporate America. There are still to many mothers raising their little girls to find a husband, there are to many teachers, showing little girls to under perform. The only true advertising linking woman as equal, was the tobacco companies. So it's all slowly changing and that's great. The implications for society will depend on these woman to continue to be woman, and not imitation men.

I'm totally cool with that. When my now wife and I started dating I was playing guitar in bars and on street corners for tips and drinks. Now I live in a three bedroom home in the suburbs. She takes me to her company parties and functions. I've had dinner with the mayor of the city, some sports figures and entertainers. My life is great and I owe it all to her.

So, when she comes home at the end of the day, she just kicks back. Dinner will be ready soon. I'll make her a drink. No problem.

I think if more women were more concerned about raising their children (if they have them) to be responsible and give them good work ethics we would be in much better shape.
