It's a pretty name but maybe a little old-fashioned, in my humble opinion. It might work best as a middle name.

I don't care for the name Gladys, a little too old fashioned for my preferences. I like names that are gently old sounding, but Gladys is just too much. What about...
Ella Grace
Charlotte Rose
Ruby Melody
Lily Joy
Abigail Rose
Hazel Grace
Violet Hope
It's your desicion; the people answering this question are just trying to help you make the right desicion, but it's your baby, and if you want your baby to be named Gladys, you can. Whatever name you choose, good luck and God bless!

Felecia Gladys
Kaylee Gladys
Raina Gladys
Zoey Gladys
I would not use Gladys as a name
My husband great grandma was names Gladys Paige, we were thinking about naming our child Paige, after her
If you and the baby father loves Gladys, then it's perfect

Gladys sounds like a housekeeper in the 1940s, or Gladys Knight, the singer.
Why Gladys? Is it a family name, or do you just like how it sounds?
Your child and you can name her what you want, and if you like Gladys, go for it!

Gladys is a perfectly acceptable name. However, you may wish to change the spelling and pronunciation. I suggest Gladice or Gladyce (glad eece). And give the name a story, such as...I picked this name for you so you would remember to always be glad!

I think it sounds like a old lady's name. Sorry. Over all though it's your baby and if you like the name then name her that. It's just not my type of name.

If I were you I wouldn't name her that.....She will get made fun of every day-I know- My name is Tyler and I'm a girl...You should probably name her something pretty, but doesn't get too much attention...For example, the name Apple is cute, but it would get to much attention....Try Addison or Kaley..Those names are unique but don't get alot of attention......Hope this helps.....
